Twilight reborn on Netflix

The Netflix platform has just announced an order for a series adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s “Midnight Sun”. The big surprise: the story, told from the point of view of the character Edward Cullen, will be adapted into an animated series.

We thought the Twilight saga was in limbo, but now it’s about to be reborn thanks to the giant Netflix. The streaming platform announced this week that it has ordered a series adaptation of Midnight Sun. Remember, this Stephenie Meyer book told the story of the first novel, but from Edward Cullen’s point of view. When it hit bookstores in 2020, the novel sold 21,000 copies in just 4 days.

But in a twist of fate, the series will be… animated! Fans can rest assured, however, that Stephenie Meyer will be executive producing alongside Meghan Hibbett. Other familiar names on the production team include Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen, as well as Erik Feig and Samie Kim Falvey. The voice cast remains a mystery for now. In the meantime, reactions are divided between those who can’t wait to find out more and those who are sick of vampires. So, Midnight Sun, are we in or out?
