Prime Video has just announced the release date for its new literary adaptation, The Better Sister. Starring Jessica Biel and Elizabeth Banks, the series based on the novel by Alafair Burke will be available on the streaming platform starting May 29, 2025.
The eight-episode series explores the tumultuous relationship between two diametrically opposed sisters. Chloe (Jessica Biel), a powerful media executive, lives the ideal life with her husband Adam (Corey Stoll), a renowned lawyer, and their son Ethan (Maxwell Acee Donovan). Meanwhile, her sister Nicky (Elizabeth Banks) is rebuilding after years of hardship and addiction. But when Adam is brutally murdered, the two women grow closer as the prime suspect forces them to confront a harrowing family past to uncover the truth behind the killing.
The series led by Olivia Milch (Ocean’s 8) and Regina Corrado (Sons of Anarchy), also stars Kim Dickens (Fear the Walking Dead), Bobby Naderi (Black Summer), Matthew Modine (Stranger Things) and Lorraine Toussaint (The Equalizer).
