The patience of Sweet Home fans is finally rewarded. More than a year and a half after the airing of season 1, Netflix has finally made official the renewal of the series. A fair reward for this adaptation of the eponymous webtoon that has been particularly appreciated around the world.
As good news never comes alone, the streaming giant announced that the renewal of Sweet Home was for two more seasons, so the series is guaranteed to have three seasons.
Lee Eung-bok, the director of Sweet Home, said that the “Season 2 will include a new setting, and the technical details that we couldn’t refine in Season 1 will be further honed in Season 2”. So we can expect even scarier monsters.
New names in the cast
For these new plots, Netflix has confirmed the return of several actors/actresses from the first season including Song Kang, Lee Jin Wook, Lee Si-Young, Park Gyu Young and Go Min Si.
The cast will be enriched with newcomers including Yoo Oh-seong (Are You Human Too?), Oh Jung-se (It’s Okay to Not be Okay), Kim Moo-yeol (Juvenile Justice) and Jung Jin-young (My First First Love).

At the moment, no release date has been revealed by Netflix for these next two seasons.
