For several months now, fans of 9-1-1: Lone Star have been waiting to find out if the rumors about the cancellation of their favorite show were true. Unfortunately for them, this is indeed the case, as FOX has confirmed that 9-1-1: Lone Star will not have a Season 6. The series, starring Rob Lowe and Gina Torres, will wrap up its 12-episode fifth season.
In a statement, President of Fox Television Network Michael Thorn said: “From the start, fans have followed the heroic and deeply moving stories of the men and women who make up Austin’s 126, so a huge thanks to one of the greatest creative teams in all of television — Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear — for creating one of the most action-packed dramas anywhere. Now in our final season of the show, we’re set to give it the high-stakes send-off it deserves, complete with breathless rescues, insurmountable odds and relatable personal struggles, thanks to our incomparable, stellar cast led by Rob Lowe and Gina Torres.”
After a one-year hiatus, 9-1-1: Lone Star will return to FOX on September 23, 2024. The final episode of season 5 is scheduled to air on the network in early 2025. The cast includes Ronen Rubinstein, Rafael Silva, Jim Parrack, Natacha Karam, Brian Michael Smith, Julian Works and Brianna Baker.
