For the 2024-2025 season, CBS will be able to count on some of its must-see series such as NCIS, the FBI franchise, S.W.A.T. and Blue Bloods. The network will also make room for some new series, including Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, the Young Sheldon spin-off. But when will all these series premiere on CBS? We take a look.
CBS will kick things off on Sunday, September 22, 2024, when the network airs the first episode of Matlock, a reboot of the series of the same name starring Kathy Bates. The same episode will then air again on Thursday, October 10, 2024, in the time slot allotted to Matlock for the 2024-2025 season. On Monday, October 14, CBS will air the first episode of NCIS Season 22, as well as the first episode of NCIS: Origins, a spin-off about Gibbs’ first steps in the Camp Pendleton office.
The following day, Tuesday, October 15, 2024, the FBI franchise will return to the American network with the first episodes of Season 7 of FBI, Season 4 of FBI: International and Season 6 of FBI: Most Wanted. On Thursday, October 17, 2024, CBS will launch Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage in the time slot long occupied by The Big Bang Theory and then Young Sheldon. On the same night, the network will air the first episode of Season 4 of Ghosts and the first episode of Season 2 of Elsbeth.
Three other nights in October will also serve as the official launch of CBS’ 2024-2025 season. Friday, October 18, 2024 will see the return of S.W.A.T. for an eighth season and Fire Country for a third season. The first episode of Blue Bloods Season 14B will also air that night, as the series wraps up at the end of Season 14. On Monday, October 21, CBS presents its second comedy block with Season 7 of The Neighborhood and the first episode of its sitcom Poppa’s House. Finally, on Sunday, October 27, the network will air the second season of Tracker, one of last season’s most-watched new shows, and the fifth season of The Equalizer.
NCIS: Sydney and Watson will air midseason. Exact premiere dates have not yet been announced.
