The Invincible series will return to Prime Video, more than two years after the final episode of Season 1 aired. The good news was announced to fans of the Robert Kirkman-created series at San Diego Comic-Con 2023.
Although the wait is coming to an end, we’ll still have to wait a few months before discovering the new episodes of Invincible. In fact, the first part of Season 2 will not be available on the streaming platform until November 3, 2023, while the second part will be available on Prime Video in early 2024.
To coincide with the announcement of the release date, Prime Video has released a trailer for Season 2, showcasing the incredible voice cast involved in the animated series. Returning stars include Steven Yeun, Sandra Oh, Seth Rogen, Zazie Beetz, Walton Goggins, Gillian Jacobs, Jason Mantzoukas, Khary Payton, Ross Marquand, Grey DeLisle, Zachary Quinto, Andrew Rannells, Kevin Michael Richardson and J.K. Simmons.
They will be joined by a large number of new names, including Chloe Bennet (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Calista Flockhart (Ally McBeal), Shantel VanSanten (For All Mankind), Lea Thompson (Back to the Future), Sterling K. Brown (American Wives), Josh Keaton (Spectacular Spider-Man), Phil Lamarr (Futurama), Eric Bauza (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Peter Cullen (Transformers), Tatiana Maslani (Orphan Black), Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets), Kari Wahlgren (Tiger & Bunny) and Daveed Diggs (Snowpiercer).
In season 2 of Invincible, Mark (Steven Yeun) attempts to rebuild his life and regain the trust of the other heroes while facing his fear of becoming like his father.
A stand-alone episode in anticipation of season 2
In anticipation of Invincible Season 2, an episode focusing on the character of Atom Eve (Gillian Jacobs) is now available on Prime Video. The 56-minute episode looks back at the origins of Samantha Wilkins’ powers.
