After Krysten Ritter, Neil Patrick Harris and Peter Dinklage, another familiar face from the small screen joins the cast of Dexter: Resurrection. Paramount+ and Showtime announced in a press release that Eric Stonestreet will join Michael C. Hall in the sequel to the Dexter franchise.
Best known for his role as Cameron Tucker on Modern Family, Eric Stonestreet will guest star as a character named Al. While no further details were given in the press release, Deadline reports that Eric Stonestreet will play a man suspected of being a serial killer.
Expected to air on Paramount+ and Showtime in the summer of 2025, Dexter: Resurrection will feature the return of James Remar (Harry Morgan), David Zayas (Angel Batista) and Jack Alcott (Harrison Morgan). New cast members announced in recent weeks include Uma Thurman (Pulp Fiction), Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine (The Chi), Kadia Saraf (Law & Order: SVU), Dominic Fumusa (Nurse Jackie) and Emilia Suárez (Up Here).
In late 2024, the Dexter franchise made a welcome return to Showtime and Paramount+ with the prequel series Dexter: Original Sin. The American network and streaming platform hope to repeat that success in the coming months with Dexter: Resurrection.
