Emma Myers is about to make a comeback on Netflix. After Wednesday and Family Switch, the American actress will star in A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder, an adaptation of the first novel in Holly Jackson‘s saga of the same name.

In the 6-episode first season, the trailer for which has just been unveiled, Emma Myers plays Pip Fitz-Amobi, a 17-year-old girl investigating the murder of Andie Bell (India Lillie Davies), which occurred 5 years earlier. She was allegedly killed by her boyfriend, Sal Singh (Rahul Pattni), before he committed suicide. The case is closed for the police, but not for Pip, who decides to conduct her own investigation with the help of Sal’s younger brother Ravi (Zain Iqbal). But if Andie wasn’t killed by Sal, that means the killer is still out there, and Pip could be in danger, too.

The adaptation is directed by Dolly Wells (Doll & Em) and stars Jackson Bews (Black Mirror), Anna Maxwell Martin (Motherland), Gary Beadle (The Gentlemen), Mathew Baynton (Ghosts), Henry Ashton (Lady Jane), Orla Hill (Hetty Feather), Carla Woodcock (Free Rein), Yasmin Al-Khudhairi (Ackley Bridge), Jessica Webber (After), Adam Astill (EastEnders), Annabel Mullion (Law & Order: UK), Jude Morgan-Collie (Pandemonium), Asha Banks (Rebel Cheer Squad: A Get Even Series) and Yali Topol Margalith (The Tattooist of Auschwitz).

Available in the UK on BBC Player from July 1, 2024, A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder will be available internationally on Netflix from August 1, 2024.
