From one hit franchise to another. After playing the character of Max in Stranger Things, Deadline reports that Sadie Sink is joining the cast of the next installment of the Spider-Man franchise alongside Tom Holland.
Although Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures declined to comment on the announcement, rumors are swirling about the character Sadie Sink will be playing. According to speculation, she could play Jean Grey, an iconic character from the X-Men, but the U.S. media reports that she could also play another major character from the Spider-Man universe. Among the characters mentioned by fans are Gwen Stacy/Spider-Gwen, Angelica Jones/Firestar, and an alternate version of Mary Jane Watson.
Regardless of which character Sadie Sink plays, Deadline points out that she’ll play a major role in the film, which will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings). Spider-Man 4, which is expected to begin filming in the coming months, is scheduled for release in 2026.
