After a first announcement on April 18th, the Cannes Film Festival management unveiled this week the films missing from the official selection. In total, 21 feature films are in competition. Quentin Tarantino managed to be part of it with “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood“, as well as Abdellatif Kechiche who is back in the spotlight with “Mektoub, My Love : Intermezzo“. From May 14th to 25th, the jury, presided by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, will have to decide between the films to attribute at the end THE 2019 Palme d’Or. Alain Delon will receive an honour Palme d’Or as a reward for his career. As for Jim Jarmusch, he will have the privilege to open the festival with his film “The Dead Don’t Die“.
